The Farm Museum includes artifacts from many crafts and industries of early New England
Located on the site of Maine's largest agricultural fair, the Farm Museum includes artifacts from many crafts and industries of early New England. These include farming; home-making; lumbering; log-driving; quarrying; leather-tanning; potash-making; blacksmithing; wheel-making; shoe-making, harness-making, carpentry, bee-keeping, ice-cutting and maple-syrup production. Equipment from the Bryant Pond Telephone Company, the last magneto hand-crank phone system in the US, is on display, along with other telephone gear. The museum is housed in historic structures including a 19th-century barn and schoolhouse. Each year, the Farm Museum offers daily trade and craft demonstrations.
