Georges River Land Trust
Partners with communities and landowners to protect special places.
Georges River Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) member-supported nonprofit whose mission is to protect the ecosystems and traditional heritage of the Georges River watershed through permanent land conservation, stewardship, education, and outdoor experiences.
Georges River Land Trust maintains public preserves and over 50 miles of free public hiking trails as part of the Georges Highland Path.
In 2016, look for information about the public opening of the Langlais Sculpture Preserve, a unique destination preserving the Cushing home and studio of Maine-born artist Bernard Langlais and showcasing his recently-conserved sculptures. The Langlais Sculpture park is part of the Langlais Art Trail and the result of a unique partnership between Colby College Art Museum, The Kohler Foundation and Georges River Land Trust to provide access to a place where nature intersects with art and continues to inspire generations of artists.
