Welcome to Maine Forest Yurts! Our campground is located on Runaround Pond in Durham, Maine and spans over 100 acres of wilderness. It is ideal for an overnight, a weekend excursion or a week long retreat. Stay in one of our fully furnished yurts or bring your own tent. The property is 5 minutes from Bradbury Mountain State Park, 15 minutes from Freeport/L.L. Bean and only 30 minutes north of Portland.
Accessible year-round, experience seasonal adventures including kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, or just sit back, relax and take in the natural surroundings.
The property is located on Runaround Pond which is composed of two shallow, river-like tributaries approximately 2 miles long. This quiet pond is perfect for a peaceful paddle in a canoe where you can view wildlife including beavers, otters, osprey, kingfishers, herons, turtles, bass and pickerel. And during the winter, the pond makes for great cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
