Medawisla (the Abenaki word for loon) is the newest destination in Appalachian Mountain Club's Maine Wilderness Lodges network, and an ideal spot for exploring the famed 100-Mile Wilderness. Built on AMC conservation land and located at the confluence of Second Roach Pond and the Roach River, seven miles from Kokadjo and northeast of Greenville, Medawisla offers opportunities for hiking, paddling, fly fishing, canoe camping, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, steps away from your private cabin or bunkhouse accommodations.
Featuring: -Winter drive-in access, a perfect addition to our two other ski-in Maine Wilderness Lodges. -Private cabins, self-service with kitchenette or deluxe without. Also featuring shared bunkhouse accommodations and outdoor grilling area. -Fresh-cooked breakfast and dinner included. Trail lunch provided. -Lodge-to-lodge skiing opportunities on AMC’s 80 miles of groomed trails connecting to Gorman Chairback and Little Lyford lodges. -Guided activities straight from your front porch. -Guests receive free access to watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards.
