The Sanctuary B&B is a boutique hotel / inn and art gallery located just a short walk from Historic Downtown Ellsworth, Maine. We are pleased to showcase a variety of artwork and to provide art studio space. We will be providing art classes and hosting art seminars.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Ellsworth, we provide a range of home-style rooms at a variety of rates. We have rooms for two as well as a few family rooms. The Sanctuary is a re-purposed, previously abandoned building and renovations are continuing.
The Sanctuary has 15 guest rooms with rates ranging from $89 to $159, adjusting seasonally and based on room size and amenities. We do provide discounts for direct booking for guests with membership in a qualifying organization (please ask for details).

- Hours 2017 was our first full year of operations and we remained open all year with off-season month-to-month rentals. Our regular rental season is May 1st to October 31st. Check-in begins at 4 PM and ends at 11:00 PM with check-out at 10 AM. If you need to check-in after 11:00 PM, please contact us to make arrangements.
