Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum
The Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum showcases the rich rural heritage of Aroostook County, Maine.
Located on US Route 1 in Littleton, the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum is filled with thousands of items that were part of 20th Century rural life in Aroostook County, Maine's largest and northernmost county. The main building contains a number of collections, including household items, potato harvest equipment and memorabilia, old toys, tools, and so much more. The property also houses two large barns, with larger equipment including a snowplow, old trucks, tractors and bicycles, a one-room schoolhouse, a general store, a filling station and a blacksmith/barrel shop. Come explore this huge collection!
We are open for tours Thursday to Saturday, 1pm to 4pm from mid June to Labor Day weekend. For the rest of the year, we are open during our monthly public suppers and for large groups by appointment. This summer, the Littleton Family Fun Day will be held on museum grounds in July and the Annual North Country Cruisers Car Show will be held in August. Our handicap accessible, non-smoking and alcohol free facility can be rented for small and large functions. Please visit our website for more information.
