RV Parks and Campgrounds
If you want to find the perfect spot to hook up your RV and relax in Maine, the options are plentiful! Maine has many private campgrounds that cater to RVs with numerous pull-through sites. There, you’ll often enjoy amenities like waterslides, craft beers, beaches, ocean sunrises and even a cozy cabin or two.
Maine’s private campgrounds are as varied as the landscape itself. You can camp on an island. Or find a spot in an RV resort with ocean views. There are campgrounds with playgrounds for kids and a campground close to a craft brewery. Enjoy your stay at one with pool tables, ping pong, golf, marinas, peddle boats, horseshoe pits and barbecues. There are campgrounds that love dogs and campgrounds that love – and host – bluegrass festivals. There are two Jellystone Campgrounds – one in Madison and the other in North Monmouth on Androscoggin Lake. All RV sites are equipped with electric and water hook-ups, as well as a picnic table and fire ring.
How to sort them all out? Start with the Maine Campground Owners Association, which can help you find the perfect spot depending on where in Maine you’re going or on what you’d like to do.
