Old Orchard Beach
OOB is a stunning seven miles long. The Old Orchard Beach Pier—which extends nearly 500 feet out over the Atlantic Ocean—is the highlight of activities from live entertainment to fireworks at night.
Scarborough Beach State Park
This state park beach has some of the warmer waters in the summer so get there early to get a parking spot.

York Beaches
Consisting of of Long Sands, Short Sands and Harbor Beaches; all very popular family beaches, Long Sands offers a mile of sandy beach and is located just about halfway between the villages of York Harbor and York Beach. Short Sands is described by its name – a quarter mile of sand beach in the village of York Beach. Its park setting also offers a large grassy play area and a promenade walkway. So even though that’s the long and the short of it, there’s more. Because just off York Street and Route 1A you’ll find York Harbor Beach. Tucked along the rocky shoreline, this sandy beach is also known as Mother’s Beach because its gentle surf is just right for younger children.
